It's our Birthday

And we'll fly if we want to!

Compass turns six later this year. To celebrate this milestone our paintshop masters the O'Buggaraigh brothers, Padraig and Finnbar, have designed a striking new special livery. This livery has been applied to selected aircraft in the fleet.

This special livery combines the colours of our previous liveries into a modern striking look. We are sure everyone will enjoy flying in these new aircraft. There are 9 new aircraft all together, 7 from Australia and two from New Zealand.

Each of these new aircraft is available from their respective fleet menu pages, however we thought many people might appreciate the ability to get the full set all from the one place.

And for those who are wondering, the actual date is September the 10th!!!

And why are there 9 aircraft over 7 types to celebrate our sixth birthday? Well last night Padraig explained it too me like this:

"Weel dere sir, yer see dere are 9 airyplanes what wid it beein de Compass 6th birthdee an dere bein Finnbar, poor Seamus (you'll be knowin dat dere feckin sultan still has der poor wee man locked up now, don't you?) and me good self, well dat makes nine to be sure. And seven is wun of der lucky numbers in der old country, an me Da, who is also called Finnbar, wha whi him bein da sevent son of the sevent son an all (me Da, not Finnbar, but of course me Da is Finnbar too if yer know wha I mean), an dis beein a birthday, an it bein near the dear ol Da's birthday (except he wont be dere to celebrate wid us now, whad wid him beein dead an all dese past nine year, God rest his soul) an all we taught dat seven would be a good number to be choosin to help wi the good luck to be sure to be sure. An its beein your shout an all agin Mr Hardin sir, I'll be havin a pint, an so will de brudda Finnbar, ah your a saint an a scholar you are"

Well these guys are Irish after all. Strange thing is it made sense at the time, after five pints of Guinness.
